Science Communicators provides editing and revision of scientific and technical documents.

Our editors revise your document in several ways:

• Correct grammar and syntax
• Improve style and flow
• Achieve a “native” sound, if English is not the author’s first language
• Identify and highlight logical inconsistencies

Price is straightforward, a simple function of document length and turnaround time — and among the lowest in the sector:

• Regular rate (4 days): $0.05/word ($50/1000 words)
• Expedited rate (3 days): $0.075/word ($75/1000 words)
• Rush rate: (2 days): $0.10/word ($100/1000 words)

The word count usually includes all text in the abstract, main body (including Introduction, Results, Methods, Discussion, and Conclusions), figure and table legends, and supplementary information. We typically exclude references and data in tables. The sections we edit are chosen by you.

For editing that requires major structural revision, primary writing, or other features that do not scale linearly with document length, we bill by the hour at a base rate of $125/hour. Estimates available upon request.

Payment must be issued in advance before editing begins. All clients can pay using PayPal or wire transfer, and clients within the US may request to be invoiced.

Using draft figures or original data, we generate figures that are clear, attractive, and consistent in style. Professionally edited figures dramatically increase the impact of your research. Our talented graphic designer, who has a PhD in genetics from Harvard University, will work with you to create the best possible display of your results.
